FESTIVAL FAQ

  • Ozark Media Arts Festival will be held in Downtown, Springdale on October 8th and 9th, 2024.

  • It will be held in Downtown Springdale, AR.

  • The festival is free to enter and free to attend.

  • 2 days!

  • Attendance for both days is essential! On Day 1, we'll have onsite competitions and during the opening ceremony, we'll honor the winners of the upload competition. Day 2 will showcase industry-led workshops and end with a closing ceremony where onsite awards, totaling over $60,000 in prizes, will be presented. Furthermore, both days will host college and career fairs, providing students with opportunities to network and engage with industry professionals.

  • OMAF is open to all middle school, junior high, and high school students in the region of Arkansas and its bordering states, including Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas.

  • This festival is designed to serve a specified region so that it can excel in uplifting and supporting those students to a successful future in the media arts.

  • A student or program may only enter ONE category per project. Limitations to the number of projects submitted and time limitations are listed under each category.

  • We have 28 categories; Broadcast, Podcast, Film, Production, Photography, Graphic Design, and the all-new Print Journalism!

  • We have 13 categories under Onsite Competition; Broadcast, Photography, Video, Film, Marketing, Graphic Design, and Print Journalism.
